The monument Bibi Ka Maqbara was
built in 1679 AD by Aurangzeb s son.
He built it in memory of his mother
Rabia. Ata Ullah was the architect and
he based the design on the Taj Mahal.
The memorial is built of sandstone
with plastered walls and has a marble
dome. It has an flowery wall around
with an entrance which provides the
best view of the memorial. The
enclosure of the tomb is made of
marble and is octagonal. *

Bibi Ka Maqbara is situated 5 km away from Aurangabad. Aurangazeb's son, Prince Azam Shah built it in 1678 in the memory of his mother Begum Rabia Durani. This mausoleum is a replica of the famous Taj Mahal.
Despite the layout and surrounding of the tomb is very much similar to Taj Mahal, somehow the architecture fails to produce the magic of the Taj. Hence, it is considered to be a poor imitation of the Taj Mahal.
The chief architect of the monument is a Persian called Ustad - Ata - Ullah. The inscription on the walls of the tomb reveals that it cost precisely Rs. 665,283 and 7 Annas to build this monument.
Bibi Ka Maqbara has four towering minarets like Taj Mahal. An octagonal lattice-screen of white marble surrounds the raised plinth supporting Rabia Daurani's grave inside the tomb. The tips of its pillars are made of red stone. The monument becomes so beauty when its reflection falls on the water as soon as the sun's first rays fall on it.
MTDC organizes a fair every October as the Bibi Ka Maqbara festival. Aurangabad is well connected through air, train and road. Accommodation facilities are available at various hotel at aurangabad *

Victoria Memorial Hall, is a memorial
building dedicated to Victoria , Queen
of the United Kingdom and Empress
of India , which is located in Kolkata ,
India - the capital of West Bengal and
a former capital of British India.
Sir
William Emerson [ 3] using Indo -
Saracenic style , incorporating Mughal
elements in the structure . Lord
Redesdale and Sir David Prain
designed the gardens . The foundation
stone of the memorial was laid down
in the year 1906 . The monument was
intended to serve as a tribute to the
success of the British Empire in India .
Architect Sir William Emerson laid
down the actual plan of the memorial.
The design of the structure represents
a fusion of British and Mughal
architecture. White Makrana marbles
were used in the construction of
Victoria Memorial Hall and the
building was inaugurated in the year
1921 . The massive hall is 338 feet ( 103
m) by 228 feet (69 m) and rises to a
height of 184 feet (56 m). *

The Leaning
Tower of Pisa is
situated in the city
of Pisa, Italy. Italy
has an important
place in the history of the world, and
the Leaning Tower of Pisa just adds
more to the countrys rich history . The
Leaning Tower of Pisa was originally
built as a marble campanile , or bell
tower, for Pisas cathedral, located in
the Campo dei Miracoli.
The Tower was given such a name
because it does not stand erect like
other towers , but leans at an angle of
5 .5 degrees from the perpendicular.
This is because the uneven settling of
its foundation. The height of the
Leaning Tower of Pisa is 55 meters
from the ground while its weight is
estimated at 14,453 tons. The Leaning
Tower of Pisa has 296 steps.

The history of the Leaning Tower of
Pisa is interesting as well. It took
centuries to construct the Leaning
Tower of Pisa. The construction began
on August 9 , 1173 , and went on for
two centuries . The third floor of the
Leaning Tower of Pisa was constructed
in 1178 when it began to lean, and
thereafter the construction stopped.
Four more floors were constructed in
1272 to make - up for the inclination .
The construction stopped again until
1372 when the last floor of the
Leaning Tower of Pisa was built . In the
same year , the bell was finally
installed.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa holds a
significant place in the world history
as well . Famous physician Galileo
Galilei once dropped two cannon ba11s
of different masses from the Leaning
Tower of Pisa to demonstrate their
speed of descent was independent of
their mass . After some years , Italian
dictator Benito Mussolini commanded
the Tower to be erected. So cement
was poured into its foundation but
the consequences were disappointing
as the Leaning Tower of Pisa sank
